A bank account is one of the necessities you cannot avoid if you want to be a part of modern society. That’s not new, so why does banking have to be so old fashioned? Well it doesn’t.
Meet Number 26, bank of the digital world.
The bank that lives in your smartphone and not only replaces the need for traditional banking, but also brings features that weren’t possible before!
What new features am I talking about?
Some of the features Number 26 packs include:
- Detailed stats about your payments
- Instant cash transfer to email addresses within seconds (moneybeam)
- Get cash for free at every ATM
- Deposit cash @ Penny while doing your groceries
- Maestro & Master Card
- 100% free and more!
How does it work?
Number 26 is built and programmed 100% independently from the system other banks use in a programming language that allows instant notifications about payments, withdrawals and pretty much everything else. This way, you will get a push notification on your phone if you or someone else withdraws money at the same second it happens, allowing you to keep everything under control at your fingertips. Number 26 is built on the Services from Wirecard Bank, a known financial service provider who has been in the industry for almost 20 years.
My personal experience
I have been a Number 26 user since ~2 months now and just recently started closing my previous bank account at DKB to complete the switch. I would recommend to everyone to try out the service first before making a decision, as it is super easy, quick and free to set up. The selling point for me was to ability to block and unblock cards directly from the app, saving me time any money next time I have that mini heart attack, not knowing if I lost my cards again or not.
A couple of weeks ago we even had to chance to chat with their CTO and have a look at the Number 26 offices, who not only explained where their motivation came from but also showed to be a very humble guy who primarily wants to create a great product that people love and succeeds quite well at that, as you can see from the App Store reviews 😉
Fun Fact: The name comes from the 26 small cubes that make up a full rubix cube!
